After metal parts are processed by external force or heat, such as bending, buffing, and welding, surface treatment is applied to improve corrosion resistance and appearance.
External forces from machining and the heat from welding cause scaling and scratches on the metal surface. These are not simple stains, but change the structure and quality of the metal surface area, leaving behind “seeds” that degrade the inherent corrosion resistance of stainless steel.
Surface treatment removes these “seeds” and results in stainless steel piping that will not corrode or crack for a long time.
