Spot Welding
Spot welding is a type of welding used to join metals. Since the two metal objects are joint at designated point, hence the name “Spot Welding”.
There are difference types of spot welding such as resistance spot welding, laser spot welding, and seam welding.
Resistance spot welding
An electric current is applied while pressing the two work pieces together using an electrode rod, and the resistance heat generated on the contact surfaces causes the metal to melt and solidify inside the base metal, hence the two pieces are welded to each other.
